Ryokan KOHRO is located right in the middle of downtown Kyoto.
You can visit any sightseeing spots if you go a little farther.
Kyoto is an enjoyable city no matter what country you are from and what season you visit.
KOHRO is a place to start your trip and a home you can always come back to. That is a message I wanted to express in this movie.

Kyoto is a place full of memories for me because I have lived there for seven years since I came there to study at the age of 19. I really appreciate that you gave me this great opportunity to tell people how charming and lovely Kyoto is.
A wooden prayer plaque is a symbol of the connection between Cathy and Ben, the main characters of this short film. When I first came to Japan, I saw Japanese people writing their wishes on a wooden plaque and praying at a shrine. That scene left such a great impression on me, so I wanted to include it into this film.
Specially for this occasion, Sincere Tanya, who appears as Cathy in this movie, also contributed in writing and recording the song. So please listen to the lyrics of the background music used in the summer scenes.
The lyrics have fully described the message I wanted to express in this film.
Lyrics

I have been waiting for this
For you
Feel like living the life
And we
Will go hand in hand searching

Making wishes on this place
So I can stay I can feel you
I feel like I need you
I love it when walking down Kyoto streets
Calling me
I can hear it
Now I know it

And I
Feel like it’s happening now
While you
Come take my hand
Now we
Will go walking together
I can’t believe it’s happening but this is how it’s gotta be

With You.

I hope those who visit Kyoto after watching this movie see their wishes come true.

How to
Enjoy a Ryokan

Enmusubi Yukata and Jinbaori

Ryokan KOHRO’s Original
Enmusubi Yukata and Jinbaori

Our original yukata is designed in a Bishamon Kikko pattern—a traditional geometric pattern—with a bold color scheme.
Tie a broad navy hekoobi belt, and these bold colors will look great together. If you look carefully at the “Ryokan KOHRO” logos scattered on the yukata, you may find small heart marks. We hope you enjoy looking for them. The heart mark is a symbol of consideration that evokes sincerity and close relationships toward other people. This is where the name of Enmusubi (matchmaking) Yukata comes from.
