What's a ryokan?

Ryokans are unique establishments built in
a traditional Japanese style, which can not be found elsewhere.
In a ryokan you will be able to understand the Japanese way of life
and the way they think, that is never found in Western-style hotels.
The Ryokan KOHRO is located in the center of the city. It is convenientlylocated for easy transportation. Furthermore, it is best suited for sightseeing. We offer reasonable prices, and you are able to enjoy kyoto's traditional dishes in the our ryokan at an affordable price.
And we invite you to experience a "HINOKI" bath.

Public bath
*The RYOKAN KOHRO has 2 public baths made of cypress(HINOKI) which is very rare at Kyoto.
*The bath is available from 6:30AM to 8:00AM and from 4:00PM to 12:00AM. You may use the public bath without any extra charges.

Gift Shop
*We have many souvenirs from Kyoto.
*Confectionery, Japanese tea, Japanese pickles(tsukemono), sake, T-shirt, picture postcard, fan, earthenware, and other traditional
craft goods.
There is a vending machine next to the gift shop and in front of elevator of each floor.

*Various yukatas are prepared for women ( one kind for men ).
*Washcloth, Bath towel, Soap, Rinse in Shampoo, Toothbrush, Hair drier

* The kaiseki dishes are traditional Japanese dishes.
The kaiseki dishes are particular about tableware and beauty of serving it. Above all, The kaiseki dishes of Kyoto keep a high level.
The kaiseki dishes attract attention as a healthy meal from the inside and outside the our country.
It is the one of the institutions where the Ryokan offers The kaiseki dishes from old days.
You can eat The kaiseki dishes at a comparatively reasonable prices in our ryokan.
